Specific Need

The auditorium is the focal point of our Give Back to Move Forward Project for the 2025 Fund! Brown County Historical Society is saving up for repair on the large upper windows in the downtown auditorium. Our goal this year is 20,000.00. We want to preserve and maintain this old building for future generations and events! Our GBMF goals include hiring our local expert painter John Howard to repair and replace the window sill and jams that desperately need work and attention. We hope you are as excited as we are to finish this project.

We hope our community will appreciate that the board used previous years' GBMF funds to assist in maintenace, repair and relocating some of the windmills at the AG Museum on windmill lane. We hired Mark Henry with Midwest Windmill Company out of Kirksville, MO to assist and accomplish this. We hope you will stop by soon to appreciate some of the completed projects!
