6th Annual Give Back to Move Forward Match Day

- Match Days are Friday, May 22 beginning at 12:01 a.m. through Sunday May 24 at 11:59 p.m.
- Live event – Reception Friday, May 22 from 4:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. with light snacks and beverages.
- Your organization may set up a small table display at the Fisher Center. Tables will be available.
- Every hour, one lucky donor will win the chance to direct $250 to the fund of their choice. Just show up, make a donation, fill out the drawing ticket, and you are in. New entries every hour.The designated fund must have a table at the Fisher Center reception that evening to be eligible to receive the prize.

- Eligible gifts between $25 and $1,000 to participating funds through the Hiawatha Community Foundation will be matched while funds are available..
- Donations are tax deductible. If donors provide an email address, all gifts (cash, check, and online) will generate a receipt at the time of the donation and an additional receipt will not be mailed. If no email address is provided, donations made by cash or check will receive a receipt letter after the event. Cash gifts will also receive a handwritten receipt at the event.
- Each individual donor should write one check made payable to Hiawatha Community Foundation (HCF) for a total of all gifts to various organization funds. A separate form will be used to indicate which fund(s) will benefit.
- Donations by participating organizations to their own fund will not qualify for the match.
Donors may mail gifts any time postmarked after May 1, 2026, or in person at the event May 22. One can also donate online at GiveBackToMoveForward.com anytime from May 22 to May 24 at midnight. Checks sent via mail must be dated between May 1 and May 24 and postmarked by May 24, 2026. If a donor is not able to attend the event and does not want to make an online gift remotely, another individual may bring a gift in for them.
The match day reconciliation may take up to two or three weeks. You will receive an email that contains the match day donation total, match amount and a listing of the donors.
