Team Hawks Wrestling Fund

Specific Need

We are raising money to buy additional wrestling mats and essential equipment for our growing club. New mats will allow us to safely run larger practices, while upgraded gear (shoes, headgear, singlets, etc.) ensures our athletes can train and compete at their best. These items are critical for the continued growth and success of youth wrestling in Hiawatha.

Team Hawks Wrestling Club exists to develop strong, confident, and resilient young athletes in our community. Through quality coaching, disciplined training, and a positive team environment, we teach the sport of wrestling while building character, work ethic, self-confidence, and lifelong skills. We are committed to making wrestling accessible to local youth, promoting sportsmanship, academic success, and personal growth both on and off the mat.

Profile

Team Hawks Wrestling Club is a community-based program dedicated to introducing and developing young athletes in the sport of wrestling. We serve boys and girls in Hiawatha and the surrounding areas, providing a positive, supportive environment where athletes of all skill levels can learn, improve, and grow.
In recent years, our club has seen strong success on the mat. We regularly attend competitive events across the region, including 9 regional tournaments in Kansas and Nebraska this past season. We are especially proud that for the last three consecutive years, we have qualified wrestlers to both District and State competitions.
Beyond competition, our focus remains on building character, discipline, work ethic, and confidence in every athlete. We emphasize academic responsibility, sportsmanship, and teamwork, values that will serve our wrestlers long after their youth wrestling days.
We are a growing club and rely on the generous support of our local community to provide the equipment our athletes need. Funds raised through Match Day will directly help us purchase additional wrestling mats and essential gear so we can continue expanding opportunities for more local youth.
