Specific Need

The needs of our program include mentor appreciation events, mentor/mentee events, membership for our program, and other items that allow our program to run smoothly to continue to positively impact our students. We also have some mentee that are going to graduating in the next couple of years and we would like to be able to provide scholarships to them. One of the most important things you have give a kid is the gift of time. Our mentors do just that each week.

Mission

At TeamMates, our mission is to positively impact the world by inspiring students to reach their full potential through mentoring.

Profile

We currently have 36 matches grades 5-11. Our matches meet within the school building for 30 minutes a week and have been making some really great connections. One mentee states, "My mentor has impacted me by being a good role model and make me a better person." Our mentors are also finding the benefits of spending 30 minutes week with a super awesome kid. One mentor says, "I really do almost always leave our meetings in a better mood than I was before we met! I really thought at first, I was in this program to impact someone else and make someone else's day better, but I wasn't expecting the positivity it would bring to my own life. I look forward to meeting with my mentee and I am quick to brad on the program as a whole to people in our community. I think everyone should feel the connection that my mentee and I have made!

We have some amazing community members who are willing to just show up and be there for a student. In that process they are making amazing connections and life long friendships.
