What It Does

The timing system from Time-Drops would allow timing to be more accurate and upload of times to be automatic, as well as displayed immediately on a scoreboard screen.

What We Need

To make this happen, we will also need a new computer and a tablet.  We need to update our computer program to the most recent version.

What Is Included

timers for 6 lanes, 3 per lane
start up adapter
manual backup start button
1 controller
3 spare timers
score board adapter
carrying case
first year subscription
tech support
software updates
repair and replacement of parts

Cost

The system from Time-Drop is $1090 for the first year and $200 each year after that.

The new computer and tablet will be about $500.

The updated computer system is $289 and $20 every two years after purchase.

For a total cost of around $2000 the first year and $200 for additional years.

How It Will Help

Our current timers push the buttons on their timers when the buzzer sounds to start the race and again when the swimmer reaches the wall.  They then write down the time and that sheet is brought to the computer table where someone reads the time to someone to input that information into the computer.

This new system will start from the buzzer and the time will only be stopped at the end by the timer.  Then all information is automatically uploaded to the computer and ready to print.
