Specific Need

Our goals are to have enough funding to pay for the current school year and to establish funds going forward to provide school supplies year after year. For the 2026-2027 School year, the cost of school supplies in the elementary school is approximately $13,000 or $35 per student.

Mission

The Hiawatha School Supply fund is committed to ensuring that every student has access to school supplies needed for a successful education. Through fundraising efforts and community partnerships, we raise funds to provide all supplies for HES.

Profile

What started as a simple conversation between a group of friends turned into a powerful movement to support local students. United by a shared passion for education and community, this group founded the Hiawatha School Supply Fund. Their mission is simple but impactful: Equip kids with the tools they need to succeed in the classroom and beyond. Driven by compassion and the belief that every child deserves an equal opportunity to learn and thrive, they began organizing fundraisers, collecting donations, and rallying others to join the cause. The big pie in the sky goal is to provide supplies to other USD 415 buildings in the future.
