Specific Need

All donations this year will go toward supplying $2500 grants to help our local business owners improve the exterior appearance of their businesses. The Facade Improvement Grant Program is designed to support local business owners in enhancing the appearance of their commercial properties, contributing to a more attractive and vibrant community. This program provides financial assistance to help cover the costs of exterior renovations, including painting, signage, awnings, lighting, and other improvements that enhance curb appeal.

By investing in storefront upgrades, the program aims to:

• Strengthen the visual identity of the community

• Encourage economic development and attract customers

• Preserve and restore historic or architecturally significant buildings

• Support local businesses in maintaining welcoming and professional storefronts

At this time, grants will be available up to $2500 per business to be used specifically for making improvements to the front exterior of the business, and applications will be reviewed by the HFED Board of Directors. As the grant fund grows through donations, so may the amount of each grant available.
