Specific Need

To continue to support Amberwell Hiawatha Hospital in the areas of patient and employee needs.  This Match Day we are currently fundraising money for the safety and security improvement for the hospital ER.

Mission

The misson of our group of community volunteers is to benefit the patients, their families and the employees of Amberwell Hiawatha Hospital. The purpose of the Auxiliary is to continue to support and assist the hospital in promoting the health and welfare of our community,

Profile

The Auxiliary has been actively improving the hospital for over fifty years. Our present board consists of 17 dedicated volunteers. Our fundraising projects include the annual Christmas Cookie/Candy Sale each December, Bunko Party Nights, Silent Auction of Purses for a Purpose, Collective Goods and Scrub sales.   With the recent closing of the Hospital Gift Shop we will rely even more on donations and fundraisers. The Give Back To Move Forward Match Day events have been very successful for us and we appreciate the community support and gifts. 

Some of our project donations to the Hospital since last year's match day have been:  Plasma Freezer for the Lab, 2 Wheelchairs for the Hospital, Pressure Monitors for MedSurg and ER, 2 OB Delivery Tables, New Furniture for the Solarium, Purchased 1/2 of an Ultra Sound Table for Radiology and NuStep for Cardiac Rehab.                                                                                                                                                                     

All the funds raised by the Auxiliary will continue to support the Hospital and Staff in serving our community,
