HCVB Hometown Pride

Goal: $20,000.00

Specific Need

The Hiawatha Chamber and Visitors Bureau Hometown Pride committee is dedicated to creating a welcoming environment for visitors from far and wide as well as a sense of pride for our local community.  We are looking to start by creating fiberglass maple leaves to "blow" throughout town and look at what Hiawatha has to offer in the way of its history, the arts, businesses and more.  We will end the project with a garden dedicated to Mrs. Krebs, Mother of Modern Halloween, with the world's largest Jack-O-Lantern surrounded by raised flower beds housing fiberglass maples celebrating famous Hiawathians like Coach John McLendon JR, Bill Martin JR, Bernard Martin, William M. Gallagher, Thomas Wilson Williamson, and many many more.

Mission

To promote and celebrate Hiawatha's history through the arts and roadside attractions to draw visitors into our community.
