Specific Need

Thank You, friend, for considering a contribution to the Morrill Public Library.  Your gift does more than you may realize.  In 2025 alone, this well-equipped facility and our very hard-working staff have much more than doubled the investment, delivering a million dollars' worth of services. At our annual meeting in April, Library Director Erin Verbick gave us a historical tour of our distinguished Carnegie building from its 1910 construction through the additions and improvements we use today.  Our most urgent challenge now is to preserve this valuable building to serve future generations, and at the same time sustain this range of services and programs.

Your gifts have nearly achieved the Friends' pledge of $50,000 toward fixing the roof and guttering, but the Library's general fund will bear the larger portion while the director and staff work to deliver the services we've come to expect.

The Friends organization's object is to promote the interests and welfare of the library as a cultural, educational, and recreational asset in the community with a broad focus of service to patrons of all ages.
