Specific Need

Donors play a vital role in supporting our hospital’s mission by making tax-deductible contributions that directly benefit the health and well-being of our community. These gifts help Amberwell Hiawatha continue its commitment to providing compassionate care paired with clinical excellence.

• For 2026, our goal is to raise approximately $100,000.
  • This investment will fund new patient beds that directly improve patient comfort, safety, and quality of care

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, the Foundation funded a number of impactful improvements in 2024 and 2025, including:

• Vital Signs Monitors and EKG Machines for Emergency and Surgical Care
  Funding for updated vital signs monitors and EKG (electrocardiogram) machines in the Emergency Room and surgical areas will strengthen the hospital's ability to continuously monitor and respond to patient needs. These tools are essential for tracking heart activity, blood pressure, oxygen levels, and other critical indicators in real time. Integration with the electronic medical record (EMR) system will allow patient data to flow automatically into charts. This reduces documentation errors, improves accuracy, and decreases the amount of time nurses spend charting so they can focus more on direct patient care. 

• Advanced Lab Analyzer
  This technology enables faster, more comprehensive testing for common respiratory pathogens. It has improved both patient care and hospital reimbursement without increasing costs for patients.

• Handheld Ultrasound Units
  These portable devices allow providers to deliver higher-quality, more versatile imaging for obstetrics, joint evaluations, wound care, guided injections, and they improve accuracy and convenience for patients.

• Mobile “C-Arm” Imaging System
  This advanced device provides real-time X-ray imaging during procedures, allowing surgeons to make immediate, informed decisions. Benefits include enhanced visualization, reduced radiation exposure, and improved efficiency and flexibility in patient care.

Mission

Amberwell Hiawatha Foundation’s mission is to acquire and accept charitable gifts for use in maintaining and improving Amberwell Hiawatha Hospital. The Foundation's responsibility and indeed its challenge is to secure charitable funds to perpetuate and advance the highest quality of healthcare at Amberwell Hiawatha.  

Donors may support our hospital’s mission by making a tax-deductible donation, which will serve as a contribution towards our community’s health and Amberwell Hiawatha’s goal to provide compassionate care with clinical excellence.
